By referring you to our office, your dentist has demonstrated their concern for your health and their desire that you receive the best possible endodontic care. Our mission is to provide endodontic services, as needed, in a friendly, compassionate and professional manner.
The purpose of this website is to aid in our communication with you, the patient, and with your referring dentist. We hope you find it useful. Please do not hesitate to phone our office if you have any questions.
An Endodontist is a dentist who specializes in saving teeth by performing root canal treatment and surgeries. Endodontists become specialists by completing fours years of dental school followed by an additional two or more years of advanced specialty training in the treatment of disease of the dental pulp. Once the additional training is complete, they receive an official Endodontic Certificate. They perform routine as well as difficult and very complex procedures, including root canal treatment, root canal re-treatment and endodontic microsurgery. Please visit American Association of Endodontists for additional information on who we are! https://www.aae.org/
If you are experiencing dental pain or swelling please give our office a call. We understand a tooth ache can not wait!
A root canal or root canal re-treatment are one of the most common dental procedures with well over 14 million performed every year. This simple treatment can save your natural teeth and prevent the need for dental implants or bridges.
Endodontic (root canal) surgery can be used to locate fractures or hidden canals that do not appear on x-rays but still manifest pain in the tooth. Damaged root surfaces or the surrounding bone may also be treated with this procedure. The most common surgery used to save damaged teeth is an apicoectomy or root-end resection.
At Summit Endodontics we make every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this we work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. Payment is due at the time services are rendered, whether it be your co-pay or estimated portion of what your insurance is estimated not to cover. All estimated insurance payments discussed with you are not a guarantee of payment from the insurance. If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. They are well informed and up-to-date.
Please bring your insurance information with you to the consultation so that we can expedite reimbursement.
Please call if you have any questions or concerns regarding your initial visit.
For your convenience we accept all major Credit Cards along with Care Credit. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time services are rendered. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings.
Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.
We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within two to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated.
Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, treatment can be done the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves, and joints replacement, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e antibiotics, for pre-med.) If convenient, please bring a list of medications to your endodontic consultation appointment.
Digital X-rays offer more precision since we view the image on a computer monitor, instead of holding up a 35mm film up to the light. Digital X-rays results in 1/6th the radiation exposure to you.
If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 3-months), you may request that they forward them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
A 3D CBCT image is crucial for endodontic diagnosis and treatment.
